The Proof Process

Step 1 - Application

Proof hackathons are not for every app or for everybody. We only run a limited number of hackathons each month and assess every project using strict criteria. If you and your project are found to be a good fit, a hackathon will be scheduled based on your availability and our capacity. Proof Hackathons are perfect for:

• Entrepreneurs and startups with basic app ideas to validate
• Ad agencies pitching mobile concepts
• Brands exploring new mobile ideas

Step 2 - Workshop

In the Proof workshop, our app strategists work with you to clearly define the scope of work so that everyone’s expectations are aligned. The outcome of the workshop is an MVP document detailing which features are likely to be completed in the Proof hackathon and which ones either fall outside of the scope or will need to be completed after the hackathon.

Step 3 - Team Allocation

A team is allocated to your project based on expertise required. Your team will consist of 2 developers (backend and frontend), a UI/UX designer and a program host. All Proof team members are considered experts in their fields and have extensive experience in the mobile app space.

Step 5 - Testing

After a good sleep, the app will be installed on your iPhone for testing. You’ll be testing to identify bugs as well as making sure the app looks polished enough to release to the public.

Step 6 - Changes / Polish

After testing the app, you may want changes made or extra polish added to the user interface (UI). We can schedule additional development time or arrange a second hackathon to make these changes. This additional development time will be billed at our standard hourly rates.

Step 7 - Distribution

Once you are happy with your proof-of-concept app you have a couple of options. If you’d like to release it publicly, we will handle Submission to the App Store on your behalf or alternatively, we can distribute a private download link to your friends or other stakeholders for them to install on their devices.
